About Me

It takes one to know one.. At first glance, a fierce-looking, depressing, anti-social person that slouches. Few glances later (maybe add a few conversations too), still depressing but not that anti-social, gila and fun at times.. (PS: member of GiLa-GiLa PpL InC. and ASS Club)

CMF

So yea, I attended to my first Christian Medical Fellowship Conference on the 12th-14th February.

It was held at a small place called Swanwick, Derbyshire (go check GoogleMaps). It's where a whole bunch (more that 300) of aspiring Christian Medics ALL OVER UK gather once a year to learn more on life as a Christian doctor and to have LOADS of fun!

We had 4 seminars. Mine were:
Psychiatry
Contraception
Caring for Dying Patients
Answering other Faiths

Those who are conducting the seminars are the people with all the experience themselves. Christian doctors who are still in practice or have chose to serve God in their respective ministries.

It was a great experience! I learnt so much from this conference!

We didn't just have seminars. Of course we had lots of fun and games, including the Ceilidh (Irish and some others) dance! It was so much fun!

Met so many new friends from all over the UK and had great fellowship with everyone. We met more people during meal time because we get to sit randomly at 10 seaters tables. Oh yea, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS by the way =D

On Saturday (13/2) night, we all stayed up and talked up till after 1.00am. One of our friends, who stopped by London before the conference bought roasted duck from China Town and shared with everyone. It was our 'family reunion dinner' away from home. At the stroke of 12.00am, everybody (well, the chinese) started greeting everybody HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! My first CNY away from home!

The next morning, my room-mates and I opened our door to see 3 decorated pouches with some sweets inside tagged with our name on it which said "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!". Aww...

Didn't really get the chance to take so many photos because we were pretty much busy with our activities. Had to wake up super early, and by the time we ended, we'd be dead tired! Of course towards the end, we managed to take loads of picture (but still not enough for my standards) and posted them of FACEBOOK!

I'm most definitely going for the conference again next year!
